Today is resurrection day of Jesus Christ! And also known as Easter Day.
Two thousand years ago Jesus is crucified, three days later he walks out of a cave and they celebrate with chocolate bunnies and marshmallow Peeps and beautifully decorated eggs. I guess these were things Jesus loved as a child.
Jesus’s resurrection is the beginning of God’s new project not to snatch people away from earth to heaven but to colonize earth with the life of heaven. That, after all, is what the Lord’s Prayer is about.
Remember Jesus of Nazareth, staggering on broken feet out of the tomb toward the Resurrection, bearing on his body the proud insignia of the defeat which is victory, the magnificent defeat of the human soul at the hands of God.
The death purpose of Jesus Christ:
First, there are Bible verses that show what God wants to do through the death of Jesus Christ.
14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
Second, there are Bible verses that speak not only about what the purpose of Christ’s death, but also about what actually has been achieved by the death.
28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.
So, we as humans should be grateful that God has sacrificed his only son to redeem our sins. Without the sacrifice of Jesus, we can’t obtain that eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
And these are Easter eggs, Enjoy!!
